Rowdy Rover Class Policies

Dog Requirements

This class is for dogs that react negatively toward other dogs when on leash. Dogs of all ages and sizes are welcome as long as they meet the following requirements

  • All dogs must be friendly with people they don’t know
  • Dogs must not have bitten or nipped any person
  • Dogs must not have been in a fight where they caused damage to the other dog
  • All dogs must be able to be safely handled by their owners
  • Handlers must not allow their dog to greet or sniff other dogs in class
  • If we feel that this class isn’t appropriate for your dog, we may recommend private training first

People Requirements

This class is for adult family members that are 18 years and older. Our COVID-19 policies apply to all classes and only two adults per dog may attend the class. All attendees must follow the instructions given by the instructor and practice all safety requirements. Owners must be able to handle their dog safely and not allow their dog to interact, greet or sniff other dogs in class.

Enrollment and Confirmation

Enrollment in our Rowdy Rover class is on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment in this class requires both a completed Registration Form and Payment received by Just Rewards, LLC. You will also be required to provide proof of vaccinations at least 1 week before the first class in order to participate. For Rowdy Rover, DHPP and Rabies are required; Bordetella and Canine Influenza are recommended. Your enrollment will be confirmed by email. Please do not assume you are enrolled in class without a confirmation.

Cancellations

If the minimum enrollment for the class you are registering for is not met, you will be notified and given the option to select another session, receive a credit toward a future class, or have your payment returned to you.

Refunds

Our classes are small in order to provide personal attention to each attendee. Because your registration holds one of those few spaces in class for you, changes or refunds (minus a non-refundable $25 transaction fee) will only be provided if you notify us at least 7 days prior to the start of the session. Otherwise, you will forfeit the entire registration fee. There will be no credit for missed classes or transfers to other classes. If your dog becomes ill or injured within the first two weeks of class and is unable to attend the rest of the session, you will receive a partial credit toward a future class or refund in the amount of 50% of the class fee (a letter from your vet is required). There is a $45 fee for all returned checks.

Attendance

The first week of Rowdy Rover class is for people only, no dogs, and is required. If you miss this class, you will not be able to attend the course and will forfeit your space in the class and entire enrollment fee (no exceptions).

Attendance at all class sessions is important for both you and your dog. Each class builds on the lessons learned the prior week. If you know you will not be able to attend a class, please let us know so we can discuss the week’s lesson and provide you the homework.

Only healthy dogs should attend class. If your dog is ill, please contact us. You may attend that session without your dog.

Contact us if your female dog is in heat. Refunds are not available for missed classes due to your dog being in heat.

Children in Class

Because of the nature of our Rowdy Rover class, it is not appropriate for children. Only adults 18 years and older will be allowed to handle your dog in the class. Our COVID-19 policies apply to this class and children are not allowed to attend.

Dog Behavior in Class

All dogs in class must be under control of their owners and not allowed to interact, greet or sniff the other dogs. If a dog has behavior issues that are dangerous to the other students, he/she may be excused from class. We reserve the right to refuse admission to (or excuse from class) any dog that exhibits any inappropriate behavior for our Rowdy Rover class setting.

Disruptive Behavior

We reserve the right to refuse admission to (or excuse from class) any person that exhibits any inappropriate or disruptive behavior in class. We use positive reinforcement training methods that are gentle and rewarding for both you and your dog. Harsh corrections or intimidating training will not be tolerated.
